All That's Fit to Print and Broadcast - The PK Media Roundup

Posted by Matt Rowe on 14th Jun 2016

Even though grilling season is just heating up (almost scorching in some areas),  we're about halfway through 2016. It's as good a time as any to review some of the great media attention the PK Grill has received this year, unanimous in praise for the value and quality of the PK. Usually we send these news clippings to our folks, but since Father's Day is around the corner (five days as of writing), we thought we'd share the media attention with our friends and just  send Dad a new PK for the holiday.

PRINT:

Popular Mechanics - Both Popular Mechanics and PK Grills have been around for decades, so it's nice when game recognize game, as PM showcased several grills in June 2016's "Great American Grill Test." The PK was one of the highest rated and lowest cost choices featured. That's a great value.

Bon Appetit - We love Bon Appetit here at PKHQ, and it's not surprising, as the magazine regularly features great writing and amazing visuals showing the best in cooking. The PK isn't just an art director's dream grill, either. Andrew Knowlton writes "Standing over the glowing coals of my PK Grill with a whiskey soda in one hand and tongs in the other as I watch lobster buoys bob in the Penobsoct Bay -- that's my idea of summer nirvana." The issue also has a wonderful photo by Peden+Munk, which features the PK at center.

Playboy -  Vincent Boucher called the the PK Grill an "instant heirloom," in his Man-Made, Handmade feature in the November 2015 issue of Playboy. Since Playboy has several international editions, the article was reprinted in several versions, and in March 2016, the Croatian edition of Playboy said (according to a very unreliable Google Translate) "When the sun soften their sharp teeth, it is better ways to relax outside of the grill... that has already won and continues to win to generations of professionals and other enthusiasts for food around the world." We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

Television:

Fox and FriendsHeath Hall of Pork Barrel BBQ appeared on Fox and Friends with his trusty PK Grill. Tucker Carlson, who we assume has seen all sorts of unbelievable things, was amazed and wowed.

Good Morning Texas - WFAA out of Dallas TX (and maybe the best local TV affiliate in the nation) featured an interview with PK Friends the  Smoke House Rats, where they showed host Jane McGarry why they're two of the best steak grillers in the world. Grillmasters Joe Stump and Dustin Sanders run through the basics of grilling a championship steak.

That's just what people in the media are saying about the PK Grill. We wouldn't have the same reach without the many fans and enthusiasts of the PK Grill who constantly raise the profile of our classic aluminum grill by  taking photoswriting reviews, and cooking amazing food with the PK. Like always, find out more about the last grill you'll ever buy at pkgrills.com.
