PK Guarantees Its Aluminum Capsules Against Burnout, Rust and Breakage

Effective August 30, 2020 Portable Kitchens, Inc. hereby warrants to the original consumer-purchaser this new “Portable Kitchen” grill and smoker to be free from defective material or workmanship at the time of purchase. Portable Kitchens, Inc. warrants the cast aluminum bowl and lid for a period of twenty (20) years from the date of purchase; the cooking and charcoal grates, if constructed of stainless steel, for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, and otherwise for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase; the plastic components for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase; all other metal parts and accessories for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase; grill covers for two (2) years from the date of purchase; and the temperature gauge for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

The applicable warranty period begins on the date of purchase. A dated proof of purchase is required for warranty service. Registering the product is not a substitute for proof of purchase. Portable Kitchens, Inc. is not required to retain proof of purchase records. This limited warranty is only applicable within the United States of America and is non-transferable.

This warranty applies only to units purchased from an authorized Portable Kitchens, Inc. retailer. Portable Kitchens, Inc. grills purchased from unauthorized resellers, unauthorized third parties, or through unauthorized retail channels are not covered under any warranty.

This warranty further applies only to the original purchase by a consumer from the authorized retailer. In order for this warranty to apply, the Portable Kitchen must be properly assembled by the consumer-purchaser, and must be used by the consumer-purchaser for normal and reasonable home/household use. The Portable Kitchen grill capsule is constructed of cast aluminum, which has a melt point of approximately 1080 Fahrenheit. For safety reasons, Portable Kitchens Inc. does not condone any operation of this grill at heats above 800 Fahrenheit, and any such use will completely void this warranty. This warranty does not apply if the consumer-purchaser is using the Portable Kitchen for commercial use.

This limited warranty applies to functionality of the Portable Kitchen only and does not cover cosmetic issues such as scratches, dents, corrosions or discoloration from heat, abrasives, chemicals, or tools used in assembly. Paint, powder coatings, and colored dyes used in textiles are not covered by this warranty. Deterioration or damage due to severe weather conditions such as hail, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods or tornadoes, and discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, either directly or in the atmosphere, is not covered by this limited warranty. NOTICE: Portable Kitchens, Inc. makes every effort to utilize rust resistant materials and high temperature coatings. However, metal materials and protective coatings can be compromised by various surface scratches or exposure to substances and conditions beyond Portable Kitchen Inc.’s control. Among other things, chlorine, industrial fumes, chemicals, fertilizers, extreme humidity, lawn pesticides, and salt are some of the substances that can corrode coatings on metal surfaces. For these reasons, this warranty does not cover paint or coatings. Rust-free and/or rust-proof claims made in marketing materials are made with respect to cast aluminum parts exclusively.

Repair or replacement of defective parts is the consumer-purchaser’s exclusive remedy under the terms of this limited warranty. Portable Kitchens, Inc. reserves the right to substitute like or similar parts that are equally functional as determined by Portable Kitchens, Inc. This warranty is between the consumer-purchaser and Portable Kitchens, Inc.

Portable Kitchens, Inc. reserves the right to require defective parts be returned to Portable Kitchens, Inc. with postage/freight paid by the consumer-purchaser, for review and examination. All postage or freight to the factory will be the responsibility of the consumer-purchaser. If Portable Kitchens, Inc’s inspection confirms the defect and the claim, and provided that the defect is one explicitly warranted herein, and proof of purchase from an authorized Portable Kitchens, Inc. dealer exists, Portable Kitchens, Inc. will repair or replace such part without charge and return it to the consumer-purchaser with freight or postage prepaid. NOTICE: Portable Kitchens, Inc. will pay return freight postage only if inside the continental United States. The consumer-purchaser will be responsible for all return freight postage if outside the continental United States. Portable Kitchens, Inc. reserves the right to refuse any claims not handled in the prescribed manner.

Portable Kitchens, Inc. is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the breach of either this limited warranty or any applicable implied warranty, or for failure or damage resulting from acts of God, improper care and maintenance, grease fire, accident, alteration, replacement of parts by anyone other than the manufacturer, misuse, transportation, dropping, mis-assembly, commercial use, modification, alteration, negligence, abuse, normal and reasonable wear and tear, hostile environments (inclement weather, acts of nature, animal tampering), improper installation or installation not in accordance with local codes or printed manufacturer instructions.

No person or entity except the manufacturer, Portable Kitchens, Inc., has any authority to make any additional warranties or to promise remedies in addition to those explicitly stated within this limited warranty. Portable Kitchens, Inc. does not authorize any person or company to assume for it any other obligation or liability in connection with the sale, installation, use, removal, return, or replacement of its equipment. No such representations are binding on Portable Kitchens, Inc.

Portable Kitchen Inc.’s maximum liability, in any event, shall not exceed the purchase price of the product paid by the original consumer-purchaser. NOTICE: DO NOT place a Portable Kitchens, Inc. grill directly on or near a combustible surface, deck, table or other support without the use of a fireproof barrier such as a 2" (two inch) concrete paver block as this will void the warranty. Any other use of a Portable Kitchens, Inc. product which is inconsistent with the Portable Kitchens, Inc. Terms and Conditions, User Manuals, Instructions, and/or Warnings will void the warranty. Portable Kitchens, Inc. expressly disclaims any liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damage which may result. This warranty applies to all products sold on or after August 30, 2020.
